Product Description
Vermicompost:
Pure cow dung vermicompost is one of nature's most powerful soil amendments, processed through a unique biological cycle where worms break down organic matter into a dense, nutrient-rich fertiliser. This time-tested process gives vermicompost its signature crumbly texture and remarkable capacity to revive tired, depleted soil.
SRC Farms' vermicompost is made from farm-sourced cow dung collected directly from our own herd at SRC Dairy Farm. Every batch is packed with organic carbon, beneficial microorganisms, and plant-available nutrients that make the difference between soil that survives and soil that truly thrives.
Good vermicompost begins long before the worms start working. Our cows are fed only top-quality green fodder with no weed grass or fillers. That carefully managed cow dung is then processed through a 400 cubic meter biodigester, where all harmful components and pathogens are removed biologically before the material ever reaches the vermicomposting beds. By using biodigesters, we also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, making every bag of SRC Vermicompost as good for the planet as it is for your plants.
Benefits - SRC Vermicompost
People think of vermicompost as just another organic fertiliser. But SRC Farms' vermicompost brings genuine, traceable value to every patch of soil it touches, making it a wholesome foundation for your farm, kitchen garden, or landscape.
- High Organic Carbon Content: With over 20% organic carbon, SRC Vermicompost feeds beneficial microbial life and improves soil structure. It creates living, breathing earth that plant roots actively seek out.
- Pathogen-Free and Biodigester Processed: Every batch of cow dung is biologically processed through our biodigester, eliminating harmful components and pathogens naturally. No chemicals, no shortcuts, just clean and safe compost.
- Better Nutrient Access for Roots: Improves soil structure at the root level, allowing plants to penetrate more freely. The result is stronger root systems and more efficient nutrient absorption.
- Builds Natural Disease Resistance: Plants grown in vermicompost-enriched soil develop stronger natural immunity and withstand disease pressure better. The produce that comes from them is consistently tastier and more nutritious.
- Activates Phosphorus in the Soil: Enhances beneficial microorganisms that unlock and release phosphorus already present in the soil. Your plants get more from every input you give them.
- Improves Water Retention: The organic matter in SRC Vermicompost dramatically improves the soil's water-holding capacity, reducing irrigation needs. It keeps your land productive and fertile season after season.
- Balances Soil pH: Regular use prevents soil from turning acidic or accumulating toxic buildups over time. Healthy soil pH means healthier crops and consistent yields, harvest after harvest.
