A2 milk is related to the milk casein produced from the cow, the casein in milk is of three types alpha (α), beta (β) and kappa (κ) casein. At 67th position of β casein chain, if present proline referred as A2 and if present histidine referred as A1. The milk produced from A1 cow is A1 milk and by A2 cows is A2 milk. But people believe that only Indian bred cows can produce A2 milk which is wrong.
There are cows from HF and jersey breeds which produce A2 milk and there are desi breed cows which produce A1 milk. There have been reports that any cow with no genetic mutation happened can produce A2 milk.
Jersey, HF and other exotic breed can produce the A2 milk but need to test their genetics by DNA testing methods.

We segregate the cows which produces A2 milk by DNA testing methods, kept them in a separate shed. At SRC Farms, cows are fed with quality green fodder and are given the required balanced diet to maintain perfect cow health and we believe only healthy cows can produce healthy milk.
Our A2 cows are milked through automatic milking parlour and A2 milk is immediately chilled in BMC and stored separately at 4 °C.
